Carl practices in the areas of commercial litigation, general litigation, government relations and corporate law. Carl has represented major corporations in a range of litigation and transactional matters. He has also represented state and local governments on a wide variety of federal, state and municipal law matters. Carl's litigation experience includes representation of clients in various state and federal courts in matters involving the following areas of law: constitutional; contract; corporate; defamation; employment; municipal; and tort.
Carl was a law professor at Temple University from 1974 through 2004 when he retired as professor emeritus. He served as dean of Temple's law school from 1983 through 1987. During his service as a professor, Carl taught the following subjects: Civil and Appellate Procedure; Evidence; Jurisprudence; Legal Ethics; Municipal Finance; and State and Local Government Law.
